API

Free, read-only, rate-limited JSON over the same records the pages render. Summaries with provenance — not bulk data.

Base URL https://corkonomics.com/api/v1. Responses are cached for 15–60 minutes and carry Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *. Limit: 60 requests a minute per IP; higher or commercial use needs a licence (contact). Every numeric field is accompanied by its basis (reported, estimated, modeled, editorial). The API returns no market values: no vintage carries a price other than the release price a named publication reported.

EndpointReturns
/kindsEntity kinds with counts and index paths.
/entities?kind=region®ion=bordeaux&limit=50Entity summaries with stable ids and URLs (max 100).
/entity/{kind}/{slug}One entity with facts, relations, sources; producers include profile and wines; regions include sourced economic inputs.
/wines?region=&appellation=&producer=&country=Wine summaries (max 100).
/wine/{slug}A wine with its vintage list: the editorial rating of each year, release price where reported, production where published, scarcity — each with basis.
/wine/{slug}/{year}One wine-vintage: rating, growing season, release price and source, production, scarcity, modeled cost, with a calculation note.
/tariffsHTS lines, measures by origin with sources and verification dates, timeline.
/series/{key}A held series (last 600 points), e.g. fred:PCU312130312130.
/search?q=margaux 2010Grouped search results; a trailing year resolves to vintage URLs.

Stable identifiers

wl:wine:chateau-margaux, wl:vintage:chateau-margaux:2010, wl:producer:chateau-margaux, wl:region:bordeaux. Ids never change; aliases are carried in alt_names. JSON-LD on each page carries the same id in identifier.

What is deliberately absent

Any secondary-market price or valuation (none is held), scoring parameters and full daily benchmark series. The site is built so that legitimate readers and search engines get everything, while database extraction is not trivial. See the Terms of Use.
