Farm-Gate Wine Grape Prices Slipped Slightly Year on Year

The Producer Price Index for wine grapes tracks the prices U.S. farmers receive when selling grapes destined for wine production. As of 1 September 2026, the index sat at 119.339, down from 121.652 a year earlier — a decline of about 1.9%. Winery Gate Prices Barely Moved Over the Past Year

The Producer Price Index for U.S. wineries measures the prices domestic wineries receive for their output. As of 1 September 2026, that index stood at 206.454, up from 206.161 a year earlier — a rise of roughly 0.1%. The index, compiled by BLS and published on FRED, uses an earlier period as its baseline of 100, so a reading above 200 means winery output prices have roughly doubled since that base period.
