Bruno Giacosa, now run by Bruna Giacosa, produces Barolo and Barbaresco from its own vineyards (Falletto in Serralunga, Asili and Rabajà in Barbaresco) and from purchased grapes under the Casa Vinicola label. The red-label Riserva bottlings appear only in years the estate judges exceptional.

Economic profile

The red-label riservas are Piedmont's clearest 'declared vintage' economy: no riserva in most years, a few thousand bottles when there is one, and secondary prices that reflect that gap.
