Domaine Leroy was assembled by Lalou Bize-Leroy from 1988 with the purchase of the Charles Noëllat and Rémy domaines, farmed biodynamically from the start at yields far below the appellation norms. The domaine holds parcels in nine grands crus including Musigny, Chambertin and Richebourg, many producing only a few hundred bottles.

Domaine Leroy, Chambertin Grand Cru, vintage by vintage
One square for each year. The darker the square, the better the weather was for the grapes. Tap a year to read about it.
The essentials
Economic profile
Leroy is the price-per-bottle extreme: yields reportedly around half the Burgundy norm, holdings measured in fractions of a hectare, and a secondary market that has put its Musigny and Chambertin above DRC's La Tâche. The domaine's sister businesses — Maison Leroy (négociant) and Domaine d'Auvenay — share the family's stock of old vintages, which are released in small quantities at very high prices.
