Joh. Jos. Prüm, in Wehlen, farms about 20 hectares in the Wehlener Sonnenuhr, Graacher Himmelreich and Bernkasteler sites. Its long-lived Auslesen, especially the Goldkapsel and Lange Goldkapsel auction bottlings, are the Mosel's most traded wines after Egon Müller's.

Economic profile

Prüm's economics are Mosel economics: extreme labour per hectare on 60-degree slate, small lots of sweet wine, and an auction channel (Bernkasteler Ring) for the top bottlings.
